Staples renews in Hawthorne

The Deal of the Week lessor was represented by John Jennings and Aaron Hill, of the Cushman & Wakefield Retail Advisors Team.
The lessee was represented by Ron Pepper, of Retail Insite.
The deal was a 72-month, $2.3 million lease renewal by Staples, The Office Superstore LLC for 24,238 square feet of retail space at Hawthorne Crossings, a 140,796-square-foot shopping center at the southwest corner of Kearny Mesa Road and Armour Street in Kearny Mesa 92111. The lessor was American Fund US Investments LP.
Other tenants at Hawthorne Crossings include Ross, Mitsuwa Marketplace, Aaron Brothers, Trek Bicycle Superstore and Calico Corners.
Also at Hawhorne Crossings, CitiFinancial Services Inc. leased 1,608 square feet at 8055 Armour in April 2009 for 60 months at $252,118 and Pro Golf Discount of San Diego Inc. leased 6,206 square feet in mid-2008 at 4240 Kearny Mesa Road for 13 months at $137,153.
