The commercial real estate market still has a way to slide before it hits bottom, a group of industry professionals said during a recent roundtable at The Daily Transcript offices.
Wall Street Plaza in the village of La Jolla has signed two new leases totaling $5.4 million and more than 22,500 square feet, according to the Cushman & Wakefield Urban Property Group. The leases by Mike's La Jolla and Panera Bread are valued additions to the center, which last year saw the departure of the popular Jack's La Jolla restaurant and bar.
San Elijo Hills reports that Lennar has sold seven energy-efficient homes in Terraza, since the new neighborhood opened last month. The two-story homes range from 2,182 to 2,721 square feet and feature an extensive package of energy-saving features, including a SunPower solar system. Homes in the first phase are priced from the mid $500,000s. Terraza at San Elijo Hills is Lennar's (NYSE: LEN) latest all-solar neighborhood, offering three floor plans and a range of architecture that reflects Spanish Colonial, French Country, Craftsman and Prairie styles. The sales office is located at Wild Canyon Road and Festival Road in San Marcos.
